Watertight Sliding Doors

Because of their unique gasket system, light weight and various space-saving features, IMS doors are very popular with shipyards, ship owners and offshore drilling platform designers. IMS high-quality doors come ready for installation and require little maintenance.

The standard doors are considered to be A-0 fire rated. Optional A-60 fire rating is available.

- H-0 fire rating
Optional H-0 fire rating is available.

- Eex-rating
Optional explosion proof equipment package to the highest class is available.

- Service counter
Hour run meter: Counting number of hours the door motor has run since new.
Movement: Counting number of closings since the door was new.

- Extreme use upgrade
The doors are designed for 200 strokes per day. An upgrade set for 1000 strokes per dayis available (screwed rails, hardened wheels and modified mechanism inside the door).

- Safety strip/squeeze list
Continuous laser beam monitors door opening. If the beam is broken by a person or object, a timer system prevents the door from closing until the timer countdown has expired.
** This feature has to be approved by Classification Society on a case-by-case basis. **

- Main automation Solution
If the ship has more than one emergency station, optional control cabinets for each emergency station can be supplied.

- Uninterrupted power source (UPS)
Optional integrated UPS in the control cabinets are available.

- Battery monitoring
Optional battery monitoring with interface to the ship automation system is available.

- Databuss with hard mimic
An optional redundant databuss system between the cabinet(s) in the emergency stationsand the bridge.

- Monitors on the bridge
By utilizing the above optional databuss, monitors can be used in lieu of hard mimic.
Two 21’ monitors will display the position of the doors, and give clear information about each door.

- Interface to Voyage Data Recorder
All signals displayed on the bridge panel are sent to the VDR by dry contacts as a standard.

- Optional Modbuss Protocol RS 485, 422 or 232 hardware is available.
